AttendEase (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is a workforce attendance and leave management application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use AttendEase on Android, iOS, desktop, or web.
The developer named in the Google Play listing is responsible for this policy and the App.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how your organization uses AttendEase, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored securely / hashed on the server), role, and company affiliation.
- Employee profile data: job-related details provided by your employer (for example department, designation, phone number if supplied).
- Attendance and leave data: check-in/check-out records, attendance status, leave requests, approvals, holidays, and related timestamps.
- Device and app data: authentication tokens, theme preferences, and other settings stored locally on your device.
- Push notification identifiers: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device tokens used to deliver notifications.
- Usage-related technical data: basic diagnostics needed to operate the service (for example API errors), when available.
AttendEase does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or precise GPS location permissions for core attendance features as currently configured.
3. How We Use Information
- Authenticate users and manage company accounts
- Record and display attendance, leave, and holiday information
- Send in-app and push notifications related to attendance, leave, and announcements
- Generate and share reports (for example PDF exports) at the user’s request
- Maintain app preferences and improve reliability and security
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce terms of use
4. How Information Is Shared
We may share information with:
- Your employer / organization: authorized admins and HR users within your company can view attendance and leave data as part of the product.
- Service providers: infrastructure and messaging partners that help us run the App (for example hosting providers and Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- Legal authorities: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Data Storage and Security
Account and attendance data are processed through our backend API and stored on our hosted servers. Authentication tokens and selected preferences may also be stored locally on your device. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information; however, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and attendance-related data for as long as needed to provide the service to your organization, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Local device data can be cleared by logging out or uninstalling the App.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- You may update certain profile information through the App where available.
- You may disable push notifications in your device settings.
- You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by contacting us or your organization administrator.
- If your organization offers account deletion, we will delete associated personal data subject to legal and operational retention needs.
8. Children’s Privacy
AttendEase is intended for workplace use by adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
9. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services such as Firebase (for push notifications) and hosting providers for the API. These services process data according to their own privacy policies and only as needed to provide their functionality.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after updates means you acknowledge the revised policy.
